Beginning in September 2022, the Journal of Spine Surgery (JSS) adopted the Surgery Journal Editors Group (SJEG) joint statement and pledges to "strive for diversity in the peer review process and among the editorial boards and editorial leaders."
The Journal of Spine Surgery (JSS, J Spine Surg, Print ISSN: 2414-469X; Online ISSN: 2414-4630) is an open access, peer-reviewed, quarterly journal (Dec. 2015- ), dedicated to the field of spine surgery, science and clinical outcomes. JSS has been indexed in PubMed/PubMed Central and Scopus.
The primary objective of JSS is to provide critical analysis and a comprehensive overview of contemporary topics within the field of spine surgery. Each issue will welcome relevant spine topics through the categorized sections: Original Article, Review Article, Case Reports, Editorial Commentary, Guidelines, and Evidence Update.
Currently, more than 100 surgical journals have signed on to this living pledge, which can be found on the American College of Surgeons website under the Surgery Journal Editors Group tab (https://www.facs.org/member-services/sjeg).
